The Cambridge Ice Arena’s operational program will offer activities for all age groups and abilities.

The venue will be used primarily for leisure skating. The programme of events will also include game and training time for the university’s ice hockey teams (with dedicated locker space), figure skating and short-track speed skating.

Development programmes for users of all abilities will be in place. There will also be ice-related educational events and, of course, the popular facilities and events you suggest.

Over 500 skaters can be accommodated on the ice pad. There will be room for more than 600 spectators to enjoy the high-octane thrills of sport on ice.

The venue will be open from early to late every day of the week so it suits everyone’s lifestyle.

More than 250,000 people are expected to visit the venue every year.

The experienced operator has a long-term contract to ensure the maximum investment is made in the venue’s upkeep and community integration.

A proportion of the rental income will be utilised by CLIC for educational purposes. This will include developing relationships with local ice-related organisations and schools.
